Early life:

Sumit Antil was born on  6 July 1998 in jat family in Khewda, Sonipat, Haryana, India.[3][4] He lost his left leg underneath the knee after he was engaged with a motorbike mishap in 2015 at 17 years old. Sumit is upheld by the GoSports Foundation[5] through the Para Champions Program. Sumit was acquainted with Para games by another para competitor, Rajkumar, while he was seeking after his B.Com from one of the renowned foundation, Ramjas school of Delhi University. 


In 2017, Sumit began preparing under Nitin Jaiswal in Delhi, and from that point he began contending in different National and International stages. Sumit showed from the beginning that he had the expertise and capacity to surpass at lance toss, and started to perform very well on the National circuit at various occasions in spite of his extremely youthful age. Career:

In 2019, at the World Para Athletics Grand Prix in Italy, he made history when he broke the world record in the F64 classification enroute to winning the Silver decoration in the Combined Event, a fantastic accomplishment. On 30 August 2021, Sumit Antil won gold decoration with a World Record toss of 68.55m in lance toss F64 at 2020 Summer Paralympics.[8]
